Playhouse Stage Company — SEASON 39 FALL TEEN PRODUCTION
In FALL 2026, Playhouse Stage Company will present a gripping, high-stakes musical that peers into the quiet corners of adolescence—where pressure builds, secrets fester, and something extraordinary begins to stir. This is a story that asks for brave actors, bold singers, and performers ready to live truthfully in the dark and the vulnerable. Auditions will be held in May 2026, with rehearsals beginning in September and performances in October 2026. If you’re drawn to material that’s intense, emotional, and just a little bit dangerous… you’ll want to be in the room.

SEEKING
CARRIE WHITE – Female-presenting, teen.
A painfully shy outsider, shaped by years of bullying and her mother’s suffocating, religious control. In this heightened, visceral take, Carrie’s journey from invisible to radiant to terrifying is both intimate and explosive. Requires emotional depth, vulnerability, and a voice capable of both lyrical sweetness and unrelenting power.
SUE SNELL – Female-presenting, teen.
A high-achieving, quietly popular student whose moment of cruelty sparks a deep moral reckoning. Grounded and observant, Sue becomes the lens through which the story unfolds. Requires a sincere pop ballad voice with clarity, warmth, and emotional intelligence.
TOMMY ROSS – Male-presenting, teen.
A golden-boy athlete with an unexpected interior life—earnest, thoughtful, and quietly searching. His openness sets him apart from his peers. Requires an effortless pop vocal quality and strong emotional authenticity.
CHRIS HARGENSEN – Female-presenting, teen.
Magnetic, volatile, and dangerously entitled. Chris thrives on control, wielding cruelty as power with a razor-sharp sense of humor. In this world, she is both seductive and monstrous. Requires a bold pop-rock voice with edge and precision.
BILLY NOLAN – Male-presenting, teen.
A reckless, cunning troublemaker with a magnetic, chaotic energy. Equal parts swagger and instability, easily manipulated and always simmering beneath the surface. Requires a strong rock vocal and fearless physicality.
FRIEDA – Female-presenting, teen.
Smart, agreeable, and ever-present—a follower who keeps the system running.
NORMA – Female-presenting, teen.
Sharp-tongued, status-obsessed, and always watching. Chris’s loyal second-in-command with a bite of her own.
HELEN – Female-presenting, teen.
Giggly, impressionable, and eager to belong at any cost.
GEORGE – Male-presenting, teen.
Tommy’s lifelong sidekick, devoted and slightly in his shadow.
STOKES – Male-presenting, teen.
Earnest and slightly awkward; just happy to be included.
FREDDY – Male-presenting, teen.
A fast-talking class clown masking insecurity with humor.
